Just for today, do not anger
Have you ever tried meditating when your angry? It’s impossible to do. Same goes for doing Reiki, which is why this precept is so very important to understand and practice. We are all human, and some days every little thing gets on your nerves. Just think about that, an irritation is attaching itself to you’re sensitive nerves, so upset feeling festers on and doesn’t dissipate on it’s own. But you know what? You are in charge of your emotions, not the other way around! Now you can really put your Reiki to practice and heal yourself of anger and irritation.
Find a place to be quite and start doing a calming breath by inhaling for two counts, and exhaling for four counts. Continue this breathing and start giving yourself Reiki to your Ajna (third eye) and Visuddha (throat) chakras. It helps me to say an affirmation of forgiveness of myself and all others, as you are releasing the anger with your words, allowing Reiki to do it’s thing and flow in with calming love. Even if you are not attuned to Reiki, you can do this exercise and ask the healing energy of the universe to flow through you.
First, let me tell you that I appreciate your words and your blog! I have been coming here for a couple of months now, inhaling what you have written, applying it to my own knowledge of living with Reiki’s healing ability…and I find so much insight here!
Anger is what prompted me to finally comment…I was trying to figure out how to get the anger out of me, searched the net, then I rememberd that I have your site bookmarked…and came here instead.
I KNOW anger needs to be released…but whenever I am angry, I seem to turn in circles, trying to distract myself from the emotion, rather than allowing it to have a voice…and a direction to go other than swirling inside of me. this post speaks to me…and i need to let my anger speak too…and then complete the healing with reiki. thank you so much…now that i’ve introduced myself, i’m going to come back…
